Cintacor Island - A Boutique Resort

Location: The location of Cintacor Island Resort is simply exquisite. A short 20-minute boat ride from the mainland takes you to this paradise. The island and the resort are breathtakingly beautiful, and the infinity pool overlooking the sea perfectly captures the essence of the stunning images posted online. Rooms: Our stay in the "O" cabin was delightful. The room was impeccably clean, and its sea-facing private balcony offered a mesmerizing view from both the bed and the balcony. The stunning vistas made every moment special. The cabin was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of three. Amenities: The resort's amenities were excellent. The path to the beach was a scenic walk through lush greenery. Although the beach itself is small and not suitable for swimming, the nature trail was the highlight of our stay. Starting in the morning with the help of Mr. Gajendra, our patient, polite, and helpful guide, the trail was a beautiful journey covering most of the island and opening up to several breathtaking viewpoints. This is an experience not to be missed. Additionally, the spa was fantastic, with serene rooms facing the sea and attendants who were masters of their craft. Food: The resort has one restaurant with a limited menu, but everything we tried was delicious and fresh. While the prices were slightly higher, it was understandable given that supplies had to be brought from the mainland. Our compliments to all the chefs, especially Mr. Indrajeet Mondal, whom we had the pleasure of meeting. His amiable nature and delicious food made our dining experience memorable. Staff: The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff and their exceptional hospitality. From the boat crew who received us at Karwar Jetty to the security personnel, island manager, transport staff, and restaurant team, everyone was incredibly polite and attentive to our needs. They ensured that we received everything we asked for in the shortest possible time. We've visited beautiful places before, but what set this place apart was the premium service delivered by the staff. Things to Improve: My only suggestion would be to have an outdoor kids' play area, as there is plenty of space available. While they do have indoor games in one clubhouse, some outdoor activities for kids would cater to a wider range of guests, including families with children. Conclusion: Cintacor Island Resort is a beautiful, romantic location rightly called a boutique resort. It is perfect for both couples and families seeking a retreat. The resort's beauty and premium service make it a must-visit destination at least once

A spectacular, complete holiday destination. To understand, one needs to go there. Its so much more than the usual places. Its got excellent food, friendly staff who will pamper you, lots of activities but the best of all is the beauty of the outdoor life. We went for a ride on the jet ski, kayakking, spa, morning nature walk & enjoyed the food like there was no tomorrow. A wonderful place & will definitely be back. Highly recommend for all ages.

Property is well maintained. Staff is extremely good. Missing part is the beach. It has very small beach with less sand and muddy too, hence we dont feel to enter the beach to play. I feel Jungles Dev bagh beach resort is alternate best option where the beach is too good. Another catch would be on food options. When occupancy is less than 50% they will not provide buffet option. In Ala carte they have very limited options. Sales team sold the package with all meals. When we went to restaurant staff mentioned no buffet and sea food is not part of our package. When i contacted sales they are giving weird reason that they are not aware of the rules. But as a customer we will always interact with sales team and they should provide these updates. But restaurant staff was extremely good and served very delicious food which was not part of the menu also. I am very thankful to head chef Mr Hari. My final conclusion incase if you are planning to stay for two days in this property, better to consider atleast one day stay in Jungle lodges Dev Bagh property as both are premium category and you can enjoy Island feel at Cintacor and you can enjoy fun time at beach in Dev Bagh.

Conveniently located, relaxing, comfortable, close to nature yet with all the worldly amenities one would expect. Friendly, helpful, multilingual staff, exquisite service, tasty food, refreshing beverages. Rich history, well preserved with a diversity of flora and fauna, untouched by development yet well-appointed with amenities from an infinity pool to water sports to a lounge including made-to-order libations, soothing music, board games, and comfy seating, tea time, and even a relaxing spa and nature trails. Perfect for a honeymooning or vacationing couple or a family reunion alike. Would definitely go back.

Cintacor Island Resort has been on our bookmark list for quite a long time and we could finally make it this time (Dec 28-30). Boarding: We arrived at Jetti in our car. Had to park my car in the neighbourhood, a km away. While it was an uncovered parking with sun beating down (this is December and cant imagine other months), it was atleast a gated and secured parking. I wish there was some shade provided considering the premium paid to the property. Rooms: We stayed in C-Cabins and were supposed to be the premium ones. The rooms were clean. Had all basics required for a comfortable stay. Some of the snacks and chocolates were close to expiry. Room cleaning was not scheduled, we had to call them a couple of times to set our room (probably even they didn't expect us to stay more than one day :D). While we didn't needed a TV, it was just a display with nothing relayed. Restaurent: First meal felt good (partly because we were hungry after a long drive), 2nd meal was familiar, 3rd was routine and 4th was DONE. There're hardly few options for such a premium property. Don't expect to have a lavish buffet all the time on an island but atleast the alacarte should be reasonable. They are ridiculously priced so you would be forced to go for buffet which is very predictable (I can probably tell todays menu while writing this review). Its felt like either the chef knows only to cook with same ingredients or the management doesn't allocate the budget for kitchen. The good part of food was the evening snack at the beach. Property: I would have said the view from the room and outside was stunning with seaview and sunset, if not for the construction going on. This was a BIG TURN OFF. Neither reservations, nor the checkin confirmation ever mentioned about the ongoing expansion until we were there. We had to wake up to construction noise at 6:30am on vacations. Its ridiculous, frustrating and felt like management was greedy to take bookings for C-Cabins with ongoing construction. DO NOT BOOK C-CABIN until construction is done, would avoid S Cabin too. I would have avoided booking at this property if i knew about the construction. It looked atleast it will take until next winter to complete. The swimming pool was clean and has an amazing view to sunset. This is probably the BEST part of the property. Game room was just a namesake, ill maintained. The beach (as labeled by the property) was a disappointment, as its not really a beach but access to waters between mountains. Don't expect to play any sand games if you have kids. Its primarily rock dominated. The sunset view sitting on the rocks near that was the 2nd best part of the property.. We really missed the morning trek and heard great things about Mr. Ravi who takes guests to nature walk. The staff were very responsive and helpful. There are two shuttles (SUVs) within the island, especially useful at nights as it may give u creeps. Adding to our frustration, one of the shuttles broke down and a

The place has lot of potential but the food situation is disappointing. The restaurant was pushing everyone to go for the buffet as they were not able to prepare a la carte meals on time. Good luck if you don’t like what’s in the buffet. We wanted to have tea and snacks after an evening swim in the pool but were told that the restaurant is closed. We need to walk down to the beach where evening tea is served. Since this is an island and the restaurant is the only food option available, we found it very inconvenient. The highlight of the place is the infinity pool and you can enjoy some lovely sunsets from here. The view from the rooms is also superb, and there are spacious balconies to sit and enjoy the sea view. The staff is attentive and helpful. Rooms are ok. The property can do with a little more upkeep.
